Stop mute for French horn The unique design and material gives a strong buzzy sound in all registers of the instrument, even the problematic middle-low to extreme low register. The new geometry and the full-length tapered bell section provides stability and improved intonation. The material has more mechanical strength, yet is still very light and gives a very quick response in repetitive, articulated staccato. The stop mute allows for a characteristic “buzzy” sound in the pp dynamics and you can really go for the real ff and still maintain the characteristic, hand stopped sound. The rubber cork also provides a comfortable, stable grip inside the bell.
